The Water We Share

The Water We Share is a WCS Canada story map that highlights the incredible freshwater ecosystems in Ontario’s Northern Boreal landscape, and explains how we are studying the major challenges facing the more than 50 fish species that inhabit this vast and largely untouched region.

In maps and photos, we show how we are tracking lake sturgeon, identifying which watersheds are key for conservation, and investigating how climate change and human development are impacting fish. Take a plunge into this fascinating – and ecologically important – underwater world.
